WWW Wednesday: My Weekly Reading Update – 01/07/2020

reading

Hey guys. I’m finally back with another WWW Wednesday post, where I share with you what I’m reading! WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer these three questions: 1) What are you currently reading? 2) What did you recently finish reading? 3) What do you think you’ll read next?

1) What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading a few books right now, as usual. The first book I am currently reading is Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas, which I am buddy reading with Beth. I am a bit behind, but I am really enjoying it and I am really excited, but also scared, to see where the rest of the series goes from here.

Another current read is Wonderland by Juno Dawson. I was reading this for a readalong I was hosting with Faye, but I was meant to finish it yesterday, and I haven’t. I am really enjoying it Juno Dawson is one of my favourite authors and I have loved a lot of her books. The reason I haven’t finished it yet is because I went into a fantasy mood, and I don’t like to force myself to read books when I’m not in the mood for them. I definitely plan on finishing this soon though, and I am really expecting to enjoy it.

I am nearly 100 pages into Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann, but I had to put it on hold in order to try and stay on top of buddy reads. I am so excited to pick it back up again. It features an ace main character and, as an ace reader, I am finding this book so relatable and I love it so much. I will definitely be reviewing it, so keep an eye out for that.

I think I mentioned this in my previous WWW Wednesday, which was a while ago, but my boyfriend and I are still making our way through We Are Blood and Thunder by Kesia Lupo. We only have about 25 pages left and we are both really enjoying it. We have been reading it for nearly 2 months now, so we are hoping to finish it this week.

2) What did you recently finish reading?

The last book I finished reading is You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson. I finished the audiobook of this book today and I absolutely loved it. The story was amazing, and the audiobook was really good and I highly recommend it. I have also ordered myself a copy for my shelves.

I would also like to mention that I recently finished Margot and Me by Juno Dawson, which I also enjoyed, and you can read my review for it here.

3) What do you think you’ll read next?

The next book I am planning on reading is Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas. I know this book follows Chaol, and we get to go to the Southern Continent, and I am really excited to read it.

I’m not sure what my next audiobook is going to be. I’m currently trying to decide between Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb, which I need to read to catch up on the Catch Up Book Club readalong, and The Black Coats by Colleen Oaks, which I have had for a while and I know I will be able to get though quickly. Let me know which one you think I should listen to.

So that is it for my reading update. What are your answers to these questions? Let me know in the comments!
