WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday – 12/02/2020

Hey guys. Welcome to another WWW Wednesday post. WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer these three questions: 1) What are you currently reading? 2) What did you recently finish reading? 3) What do you think you’ll read next?

1) What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading a few books, and I’m really enjoying them all, which is awesome!

The first book I’m currently reading is a buddy read with Beth and Faye, and that is Yes No Maybe So by Becky Albertalli and Aisha Saeed. I’m currently 130 pages in and I am loving it so much! I love the characters, it’s such a quick and fun read, and it also hits on some important issues. I’m so excited to see where the rest of the story goes. I’ll be sharing my review next week so keep an eye out for that.

I am also about 150 pages into Wildcard by Marie Lu. I read Warcross last year and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to pick up the sequel. I actually heard some negative reviews about Wildcard a few years ago, but I’m really enjoying it so far.

My current audiobook is The Foundling by Stacey Halls. I listened to her first book on audio and really enjoyed the experience, so I decided to do the same with The Foundling. I’m a few hours in now and I am so intrigued and I really want to find out where the story is going to go from here.

2) What did you recently finish reading?

I’ve managed to finish 4 books since last Wednesday, which I am really happy with.

I finished my buddy read of Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano. I really enjoyed it. It’s not something I would usually pick up, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. I will be posting my review soon, so keep and eye out for that if you want to know my full thoughts.

I also finished the book that my boyfriend picked for me to read in February, which was Frostheart by Jamie Littler. I read this for Polarthon, although I didn’t actually manage to finish it within the readathon. I also really enjoyed this. I still have yet to find a 5 star middle grade though, so if you have any recommendation, let me know!

I also finished listening to The Selection series on audiobook. I finished The Elite by Kiera Cass and I also listened to the entirety of The One. They were enjoyable, quick and easy reads, and while the narrator wasn’t my favourite, I didn’t mind her, so it was a good listening experience. I don’t think I’ll read or listen to the two books in the continuation series though.

3) What do you think you’ll read next?

Next week I’m buddy reading Wicked as You Wish by Rin Chupeco with Faye. I got an ARC in the December FairyLoot box. I had never heard of it before that, but it sounds interesting, and everyone is so excited to read it, so I’m really looking forward to diving in next week!

I’m also planning to read Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus. I’m meeting her in March so I really want to get around to this book before then. I read One Of Us Is Lying last year and I really enjoyed it, so I’m super excited to read more by this author!

What have you been reading lately? Feel free to leave a link to your post in the comments!
