Solis
Solis is a complex character living a simple life style in one the National Parks, Death Valley. Solis was born in Death Valley on the hottest day ever recorded. He got a gift that day from the sun, he will always be warm and never get cold, this is also why his parents named him Solis, it means sun in Latin. He grew up exploring this wonderful place as a child and called it home. He later traveled the world when he joined the army and seen many different lands, ways of life, and cultures. He is well educated and knowledgeable in many fields of study and uses his experience to help educate others about the importance of nature and the great places we know as the national parks and how we can protect them for future generation to also have and enjoy. After his travels and studies Solis chose to go back to the place where he was born and live a rather simple life by helping the Visitors who came to see the magnificent sights that were here. He met a beautiful woman one day called Luna with whom he shared an amazing adventure with and fell in love.

Luna
Luna is a princess who was born and grew up on the moon, her name Luna means moon in Latin. When she was born she also got a gift or a superpower from the moon, her hair glows brightly like million of stars when it is dark and she is scared. She grew up and had a very privileged life style with traveling the galaxy and educations, and experiences that most do not get to do. She was always fond of nature and animals and always loved exploring wild places and making new friendships and memories everywhere she went. She had always heard about the amazing nature and wildlife that earth had and so when she got invited to her friend’s wedding here, she decided to take in some of the sights, and thought that the national parks would be a great place to see. On her travels she met a man who she thought was really interesting and knowledgeable about nature and decided to go on this great adventure with him. This is Solis. During her adventure with Solis she learned many things about Death Valley and the wildlife that lives there. this inspired her to continue her journey and want to see other national parks. She also realized that she had fallen in love with Solis and made some new friends along the way.

Author Information

Dorota KluzaDorota Kluza was born on September 27, 1976 in Lubin. She graduated with two masters degrees in law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań as well as at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). She is a world traveler, writer, actress, model, and translator. She speaks Polish as her native tongue, then also English, German, Spanish and some Russian as well. Privately, she is passionate about traveling, music, dancing, cinema as well extreme sports and scuba diving. The magic of connecting with nature inspired her to create the tale of The Princess and the Valley Man. She hopes the story will transport the readers to another time and place. Her life motto is: Sky has no limits.

Evan WilliamsEvan Williams was born and raised in a small town called Tremonton in Northern Utah. He served in the United States Army for nearly 9 years where he had the opportunity to travel all over Europe and the Middle East. Later on he moved to Southern Utah and attended the Southern Utah University where he earned a bachelor degree in national resource management. During and after his studies he worked for the National Park Service as a Park Ranger at The Grand Canyon and Death Valley national parks. His Park Ranger experience and love for traveling, adventure, and the great outdoors gave him inspiration to write the tales of The Princess and the Valley Man.

Illustator Information

Malgorzata Barcikowska-NazarczukMalgorzata Barcikowska-Nazarczuk was born in 1975 in Malbork but living in Warsaw now. She graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Olsztyn and then the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Her works are admired in Poland and abroad. She creates new projects, and her exhibitions and artistic shows are highly appreciated. The greatest inspirations for the artist are two daughters, nature and dreams. She loves reading, designing, cooking and traveling. Drawing illustrations for books is one of her greatest childhood dreams.
