WWW Wednesday – 17/5/17

Hey guys. Welcome to another WWW Wednesday post. WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer these three questions: 1) What are you currently reading? 2) What did you recently finish reading? 3) What do you think you’ll read next?

1) What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading two books. The first one is A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas for the first time. I decided that since the third book just came out, it was finally time for me to finish this series. I’m only about 170 pages in so far but I’m really enjoying it. The other book I am reading at the moment is A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle. This is a reread for me. I wanted to reread it before continuing on with the rest of the Sherlock books. I’m listening to this one on audiobook, which I’m really enjoying.

2) What did you recently finish reading?

The last book I finished reading was A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. That was a reread for me. I first read it when it came out in 2015. I wanted to reread it before carrying on with the series. I found the first half a bit slow, but the second half was awesome.

3) What do you think you’ll read next?

As you might be able to guess, next I plan to read A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. After that I plan to read Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy and reread Lady Midnight in preparation for Lord of Shadows, all by Cassandra Clare. I also plan to listen to the next Sherlock story on audiobook after I finish the current one.

That’s all for today. Feel free to leave any comments down below.

Lots of Sarah J Maas. I haven’t read her yet, but I love fantasy. I read The Sign of Four during my degree, when looking at popular 20th C lit. compared to Modernist texts. I enjoyed the novel very much, which I wasn’t expecting.

You should definitely check out Sarah J. Maas if you love fantasy. I find her books really compelling. Whenever I’m not reading I just can’t wait to get back into the world. I first read A Study in Scarlet because of the BBC Sherlock TV show.
